Synopsis

William Dorrit has been imprisoned for years with his children Fanny, Edward and Amy (known as Little Dorrit). In spite of their ill-fate, Amy is a good-natured, kind girl who supports the family by employing herself at Mrs. Clennam’s house. Arthur Clennam, arrives to see his mother Mrs. Clennam, after death of his father, with whom he was running a business in China for twenty years. At the house of Mrs. Clennam, he is attracted towards Amy, by absorbing her character of kindness and intelligence. After knowing his father was imprisoned for debts, he investigates and find out the facts that, William Dorrit does not owe any debts and in fact he is the last heir to a large fortune.

Except Amy, William Dorrit family rejoiced with their new found wealth, end up losing their wealth. Once again Amy supports the family in hard times. Meanwhile Arthur Clennam also getting into troubles and loses his entire wealth and imprisoned. Amy supports him during the hard times and shows real love to him. The story end up Arthur debts are paid through his partner, Amy and Arthur gets married.
