Chronicles of Avonlea is the compilation of Montgomery's 12 short stories set in the fictional village Avonlea, created by the author in her Anne of Green Gables series. Lucy's heroine Anne Shirley's contribution to the story is only limited to first two stories The Hurrying of Ludovic and The Courting of Prissy Strong. Rest of the stories she has been mentioned only as a brief character.
