Synopsis

Betty's Bright Idea and other stories is a collection of short stories written by the American abolitionist Harriet Beecher Stowe, who is remembered for her antislavery novel Uncle Tom's Cabin. Among her numerous works of novels, travel memoirs and collections notable are A Key to Uncle Tom's Cabin, Old Town Folks, House and Home Papers, Palmetto Leaves, and The Minister's Wooing.

This collection contains three stories such as Betty’s bright idea, Deacon Pitkin’s farm, and The first Christmas of New England.
