Candide a French satire written by Voltaire, narrates the story of Candide, an illegitimate member of Baron family.  Expelled from the castle for falling in love with Cunégonde, daughter of Baron, his life turns into a misery. The main character travels to various countries with optimism taught by his philosopher Pangloss. The sarcastic theme of the novel is often overshadowed by the erratic and fantasy plot.
