Synopsis

Known as the philosophical founder of modern conservatism, Edmund Burke an Anglo-Irish has a multifaceted personality as political theorist, orator, author and philosopher.  A strong opponent of the French Revolution, he had lead the conservative faction of the Whig Party and was praised by the nineteenth century conservatives and liberals. His intensive works on aesthetics drove him to be the founder of the political review “Annual Register”.  

His complete works has been published as a twelve volume book on his theories, philosophies, essays and other literary works. This specific book is the first of this twelve volume work. Apart from writing numerous books, he also co-authored many works and notable among them are Reflections on the Revolution in France, The Evils of Revolution, Speech on Conciliation with America, A Vindication of Natural Society, and A Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of our Ideas of the Sublime and Beautiful.
