This novel narrates the story of a disposed child, Ambrosio who rises to become a celebrated Priest, end up with the steep fall when the evil in him explodes under the mask of being a priest, commits endless crimes and sins to the extent of raping and murdering his own younger sister. Through the characterization of Ambrosio, the author explore the controversial theme of a priest committing endless sins of sex, rape, poison, torture, nunnery, and moral degradation of all concerned.
