Synopsis

The Confessions is an autobiography of Bishop of Hippo Saint Augustine, a Christian theologian who influenced the Western Christianity and Western philosophy with his important works City of God and Confessions.

In a true sense, this is not a complete autobiography of an individual, as this book was written by the author during his early 40s and does not contain the incidents of his olden days of 36 years. More than an autobiography, this book shall be considered to be in the religion genre of Christianity. The author confesses on his sinful life when he was youth and regrets of following Manichaean religion and believing astrology.
