Golden Days for Boys and Girls is a 19th Century Weekly Newspaper which published Children’s stories. James Elverson, the founder of this Children’s story paper has made it an affordable subscription of Just $3 a Year.  This Children’s magazine contains short stories, activities and lessons which were specifically written for both boys and girls separately.  A weekly bible lesson and Puzzle pages were the most interesting topics.  In an attempt to drive the sale, most of the stories were serialized which spanned across several weeks. Some of the most popular writers who contributed to this paper include James Otis, Frank R. Stockton and Horatio Alger, Jr..
