An Enquiry Concerning the Principles of Morals is written by David Hume, a Scottish Philosopher and one of the influential persons of the Western Philosophy, attributed for his works Essays Moral and Political, A Letter from a Gentleman to His Friend in Edinburgh, Four Dissertations and The Natural History of Religion.

This book explores the philosophical concepts and argues sentiment as the foundation of morals which is in contrast with the popular belief reason. As this book is popularly called as the second enquiry, as the publication precedes his early work Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding which was called as First Enquiry.
