They end up their search in Nova Scotia a fictional community and request for a boy to be sent to them to be adapted. By mistake Anne is sent to them.
Annie who is an imaginative, talkative and red-headed orphan went on to winning the hearts of the siblings and quickly adapt to the life in their farm house and winning the friends of her new school in Edward Island.
