Synopsis

George Bernard Shaw’s romantic comedy play Pygmalion narrates the lives of Professor Henry Higgins and Eliza Doolittle, a  Cockney flower girl who was trained on etiquette by the professor. Contrary to his expectations, Higgings could not wins her heart, as Doolittle finally falls in love with Freddy Eynsford-Hill, a poor gentleman not belonging to so called upper class society. Other than naming the play with the Greek mythologic character Pygmalion, not much connection can be seen in the story line of this play, which was on public stage during the year 1913.
