Wagner: The Story of the Boy Who Wrote Little Plays, is a part of the children’s biography series of Child’s own book of great musicians written by Thomas Tapper. 

This book is a tiny work of biography of the German composer Wilhelm Richard Wagner, whose operas were full of wonderful characters like Charles Dickens novels.  He was able to translate Greek at the age of 13. In spite of his talents, his personal life was a tragedy and was characterized by political exile, turbulent love affairs, poverty and repeated flight from his creditors.
