Synopsis

The Lives of the Saints is a true account of exploring the lives of Saints written by the English Anglican priest Rev. Sabine Baring-Gould who has multifaceted personalities as  hagiographer, antiquarian, novelist and eclectic scholar. Remembered for his hymn works such as "Onward, Christian Soldiers" and "Now the Day Is Over". 

Apart from translating  "Gabriel's Message" from Basque to English, his notable literary works are The Book of Were-Wolves, Curious Myths of the Middle Ages, Mehalah, A Story of the Salt Marshes, The Village Pulpit, In Troubadour Land: A Ramble in Provence and Languedoc, and The Tragedy of the Caesars.
