The Danes in Lancashire and Yorkshire is a historical account written by the English historian by S. W. Partington, the author of another historical work “The History of Furniture”.   Partington mentioned in the introductory note that the history of the pre-Norman conquest remains blank for the contemporary readers.  This book is an attempt to narrate the last invaders of English shore Danes and Norsemen. In the following chapters the history of their daring adventures, characters and beliefs, customs and crafts.
