Full Revelations of a Professional Rat-catcher is a book written from the 25 years of experiences of a professional rat catcher Ike Matthews. The author in his preface mentions that there is no sure way to completely exterminate the rats, especially in large towns. No one would forget the painful memories of evil plague, which was largely spread to human through rats. While Rats are not as harmful to human as other pests, they do get victimized first in many diseases and unknowingly spread the diseases to humans.

The book provides detailed information on rat control with well categorized chapters such as How to clear rats from warehouses, How to keep and work ferrets, The habits of rats, and hints on rabbit shooting which help the readers to understand the habits of rats and proven methods to control them.
